Australian volunteers support

Among these dedicated individuals is Paul Semple, a retired ABC broadcast journalist and Australian volunteer. Paul has been assigned to the Communications Division of the United Nations in Papua New Guinea (PNG), marking his second volunteer assignment following his previous work in Kiribati in 2019.

Expressing his experience, Paul stated, "I know I have learned as much from the people as I have imparted in terms of knowledge. 

Women fight for human rights in Bougainville

The woman went to the station to report a sexual offense but was clearly in need of medical care. Thanks to Sister Therese’s prompt action, the mother received the care she needed and gave birth to a healthy baby.

Sister Therese has advocated for greater human rights over many years, including providing accommodation for women and youths awaiting court hearings and acting as a back-up for the Buin safe house, a secure place for women and girls fleeing violent situations. Thus this was nothing new.

Canada Supports KTF’s COVID Efforts

The Canada Fund is providing a welcome boost to the KTF’s Project Airborne, by supporting a range of COVID-19 prevention activities KTF delivers across rural Oro (Northern) Province.

Project Airborne, was given funds by the Canada Fund in support of the most recent delivery of hygiene supplies to Oro Province, as well as its first round of vaccination patrols across the region.
