Madang district office funds safe

Speaking out about the current situation of the District Office and Administration, Albert Ului the Madang District Chief Executive Officer, is advising the general populace of the district that although the member has been dismissed, he has not taken the money or the office away with him.

He calls out to assure the people that everything is here and that once everything is cleared, normal operations and development will continue.

Tare asks court to give him time

Mr Tare is party to the court proceeding on the Madang town road works. He made this verbal submission to Justice David Cannings on Thursday 13 January, 2022.

The Acting Madang PA was among others who appeared before Justice Cannings to update the court on the progress of the road works. For Tare’s case, he said to find a new contractor to work on the town’s feeder roads.

He said a contractor was allocated funds to work on the roads but did nothing, and so he has had to look for a new contractor.

Duban and community reconcile

This is for involving  in an election court case as witness to Brian Krammer in 2012, which saw the court rule in favour of Krammer to go for a by election.

The Aufan community came together presenting five pigs and garden food to the Minister as a sign of reconciliation and the beginning of a new era in their relationship.

Youth representative and Ward Two village recorder Jeffery Sambe on behalf of the community apologised to Minister Duban and urge him to let go the past and work with them to bring services to the community.
