Eliab to strengthen combination with Boas

Since his return from England, Eliab has certainly made his presence felt playing alongside Boas with an unbeaten run so far this season.

Eliab, who played his 50th game last weekend against the Souths Logan Magpies added the aim is to further strengthen his combination with Boas.

“The game plan is always to stick to the basics. We’re still working on our combinations. We don’t want to complicate things. We just want to keep it simple.

“I think we’re heading in the right direction,” said Eliab.

Eliab: It’s an awesome feeling to be back

Eliab was one of six former Hunters players named in the final 29-man squad for the 2017 campaign in the Intrust Super Cup competition.

The 26-year-old left the Hunters in 2015 to play with the London Broncos in the Kingstone Press Championship, United Kingdom, but has since returned.

“I’ve been away for one year. I think I’ve brought back some experience from playing rugby league outside of PNG and I’m happy to bring something back to the team and support the team to go all the way this year.
