Graduation Celebration Marks 25-Year Partnership

The event, which marked the fourth consecutive graduation ceremony, served as a testament to the dedication and perseverance of the students throughout their academic journey.

UOG prepares for VC Cup showdown

Defending champions, the University of Papua New Guinea (UPNG) Pythons, will be defending their title this year, after winning the cup in a fiery grand final match against the University of Technology (Unitech) Spartans in Port Moresby, in 2021.

UPNG has assembled three teams; two from the main campus including defending champions, the UPNG Pythons. The Third UPNG Team is Medfac from the School of Medicine, Taurama campus.

IBS awards scholarship

They are 21-year-old Maureen Kuna from Southern Highlands and 26-year-old Joanne Konaka from the Autonomous Region of Bougainville.

Miss Kuna enrolled on 23rd March to take up Bachelor of Accounting and Finance (BAF) programme and Miss Konaka enrolled on 17th March to study Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT), at the IBSU Campus, 11-mile.

Both women said they had settled well in their studies and thanked Sir Nades and MPIP PNG for empowering young women through education.

VIDEO: Practical methods turned into reality

The students did this by inducting a student association called 'BEES' by using practical methods learnt in classrooms to turn an idea into reality in the business world.

The Business & Economics Enhancement Syndicate or 'BEES' comprises of innovative and active students who seek opportunities to create a market for business activities.
