Grand Papua wins travel award

The award recognizes and celebrates the hotel industry worldwide, with votes cast by travellers, guests, and industry players.

This is the third time Grand Papua has entered this competition.

“It is the third year the Grand Papua Hotel has entered the World Travel Awards and we are proud to have been awarded the following: Grand Papua Hotel - Leading Business Hotel – Country Win for Papua New Guinea,” it stated.

The Asia Pacific Hotel Awards recognizes and celebrates the hotel industry worldwide, with votes cast by travelers, guests, and industry players. It is the second year the Grand Papua Hotel has entered the Asia Pacific Hotel Awards and we are proud to have been awarded the following:

“It is a prestigious milestone for the Grand Papua Hotel to be recognized as a world-class Upscale Boutique Hotel providing a high-end product and services in Papua New Guinea,” said General Manager, Migara Tennekoon.

Grand Papua General Manager, Robert Cohen, said it is another prestigious milestone for the Hotel again this year to be recognized as a world-class Upscale Hotel providing a high-end product and services in the country.

The World Luxury Hotel Awards recognises and celebrates the luxury hotel industry worldwide, with votes cast by travellers, guests and industry players.

It is the fifth year running for the Grand Papua Hotel to have entered and won a prestigious Award from the World Luxury Hotel Awards.

“The first Award was in 2015 in the Continental Category. It is a prestigious milestone for the Hotel to be recognised as a luxury hotel providing world class products and services,” said Sean Hillman – Hotel Manager of Grand Papua Hotel.

Hundreds turn up for Qatar registrations

Even though the recruiting process was said to begun at 9am, young men and women, raring for a life-changing opportunity, showed up as early as 6am.

“It’s Qatar, a five-star company...I mean who wouldn’t want to.

“I checked the website and it read Dinner in Paris, Lunch in New York, Breakfast in Montreal, it’s like a dream but it’s actually real, and it’s free, you don’t have to pay to go these places. I wouldn’t mind that life.”
