The event aimed to discuss lessons learned and good practices in conservation in PNG, as well as to exchange collective efforts to address environmental and climate challenges.

EU Delegation, St John Renews Partnership

St John will also assist EU delegates with home medical services to help them access health care when it’s urgent, but not an emergency.  
In an important step to promoting emergency preparedness, St John is helping the EU in upgrading all its existing first aid kits and installing defibrillators (AEDs) at all its worksites in Port Moresby. 

Voice Strategy Vital For Informal Sector

The Informal Economy Voice Strategy 2018-2022, launched by former Secretary for the Department of Community Development and Religion (DfCDR) Anna Kavana Bais, and was PNG’s first official strategy on informal sector.  

The strategy provides the opportunity for the informal economy participants to voice their concerns on issues affecting them in their data to day activities.

European Commissioner for Climate Action & Energy to attend PIF

The EU Commissioner will lead the European Union Delegation to the PIF Meeting, including delegates from the European Commission in Brussels and Ambassadors of European Union Delegations across the Pacific region.

The EU is a long standing ally of the Pacific on the climate change issues and the Commissioner Arias Cañete is committed to make this partnership even stronger in the run up to Climate Change negotiations in Paris in December.

He will give a keynote address to the Pacific Leaders at a special Session on Climate Change.
