Goroka Police Station, one of the icons of Goroka town, was renovated with K1m from the Provincial Services Improvement Program (PSIP) fund.

"I am impressed with the great work being taken by the contractor to give a facelift to one of our landmark buildings of Goroka," the Governor said.

Divisional Commander Peter Guinness (Northern) commended Soso for the foresight in improving police infrastructure in her province.

Eastern Highlands Governor Julie Soso says as the team goes through uncertainty on whether Bintagor will continue being the franchisor, the provincial government is ready to back the team up.

She made the statements following recent media reports that Bintangor owner, Simon Sia, will be ending their support to the team. A report which Sia denied.

 Court restrains Soso, PEC

Eastern Highlands Governor Julie Soso, the Eastern Highlands Provincial Executive Council, Public Service and the Department of Personnel Management have been restrained from pushing for the permanent appoint of the acting Provincial Administrator Samson.
