From the official list released by the PNG Electoral Commission, Wewak Open has the biggest field of candidates vying in the province.
Wewak Open – 30, Angoram Open 28, Ambunti – Dreikkir Open – 26, East Sepik Provincial – 26, Wosera – Gawi – 26, Maprik – 22 and Yangoru – Saussia – 16.
Four female candidates are contesting for the Provincial Seat, and Maprik, Wosera- Gawi and Yangoru Saussia have no female candidates on the listing.
