As a result of the need, the World Food Program has come on board with a total of over 80,500 bags of rice to be equally distributed to the worst affected communities in the Province.
The food distribution started last week and will continue, hoping to reach more than 52,000 people on the outer islands and some of the wards on the mainland who were severely affected by El Nino.
