Airport ambassadors conclude short stint

The Airport Ambassadors, as they are called have been providing much needed assistance within the Jacksons Domestic and International Terminals between 
November 2022 and January 2023 which is the busiest period at Jacksons International Airport as many passengers travel in and out for the holidays.  
 
The three months was also an opportunity for them to learn some aspects of airport operations and its role in the aviation industry. 
 

​Over 1,000 volunteers in 20 settlements engaged in tournament

This occurred over the past two weeks.

This was through an effort to increase employability among young people in Papua New Guinea.

The FIFA Local Organising Committee, in partnership with the Urban Youth Employment Project (UYEP), the Australian Government, the Oceania Football Confederation, the US Embassy and UNICEF, has developed a platform where young people are given the opportunity to gain first-hand skills and experience.

Call made to pay Games volunteers

Spokesperson for hundreds of volunteers who are being deployed at the BSP Stadium in Port Moresby John Bata said they were happy to be part of the historic event as the memories of the games would go a long way in their lives.

Bata said he was particularly happy with the Government for delivering  a high standard of games with internationally accredited facilities against all odds.
