Titanic replica ship to set sail

Well that fantasy isn't as far off as it once was (Leo and Kate not included), according to one Aussie tycoon whose planned replica of the ill-fated ship is poised to set sail in 2018.

The Titanic II will look and feel almost identical to the same 1912 vessel that, after hitting an iceberg, sank and killed more than 1,500 people—an unforgettable moment in history that inspired a number of movies, including James Cameron's epic Oscar-winning spectacle in 1997.

'Star Wars' Box Office surpasses 'Titanic,' 'Jurassic World''

In addition to setting a new high mark in New Year's box office history, the record-busting film blew past the domestic grosses of both "Jurassic World" ($652.3 million) and "Titanic" ($658.7 million) to become the second-highest earner of all time with $740.3 million in just 19 days of release.

The top domestic film is "Avatar" with a $760.5 million lifetime domestic gross, but "Star Wars" is barreling in to surpass it soon. For context, it took "Avatar" 72 days to reach $700 million. "Star Wars" did that in 16 days.

Coroner confirms James Horner's death, rules it accidental

Ventura County Deputy Medical Examiner Zeb Dunn says Horner's identity was confirmed Thursday. He says the cause of death is blunt force trauma.

The 61-year-old "Titanic" and "Avatar" composer died Monday when his plane crashed and burned in a remote area of the Los Padres National Forest, about 100 miles northwest of Los Angeles.

People who fueled Horner's single-engine plane confirmed that he took off in the aircraft. His agents issued a statement Tuesday saying he died, even though official confirmation would take longer.
