Potape said as the representative of the Government on the ground, they must ensure they deliver to their people.

Speaking at the recent swearing-in ceremony, Potape called on Hides PDL 7 SPA chairman-elect, Andy Hamaga, to immediately meet with the board to begin planning for their area.

Potape also called on the Government to release the K35 million funding commitment directly to both the Hides SPA and Hides PDL 7 SPA so that they can roll out much-needed programs.

Komo, in Hela Province, is the only LLG in the country with two Special Purpose Authorities.

Using the Commonwealth Doctrine of Necessity and the powers of the court, Chief Justice, Sir Salamo Injia appointed Thomas Potape as acting Hela governor.

He will be acting in that post, until the return of writs.

This ruling was made late Wednesday afternoon after a stay application that was filed by Komo-Margarima MP, Francis Potape was refused.
