ENBPA signs deals with local firms

The programs are being rolled out under the ENB Provincial Administration’s divisions of community development and lands and physical planning.

The 14 service providers were at the Kokopo Primary School hall on Wednesday, November 15th, to sign their service level agreements (SLA) with the Acting ENB Provincial Administrator, Levi Mano.

Service providers seek legal redress

Two weeks ago, they were addressed by Financial Manager, George Memke, where they called for another dialogue, this time with Governor Ramsey Pariwa and Provincial Administrator Frank Lau present.

Yesterday they stormed the provincial government house to get an audience with them. The lack of answers continues to frustrate the disgruntled business owners.

Mr Lau, who was there to address them, said there was no hold up of payments from his end and that initially, two budgets were made; one by him, and the other by the governor.

Disgruntled Service Providers want answers

This forced officers to lock the gate to the Treasury Office and police were called to address any security issues.

The service providers claim that some delayed payments go back at least 15 months, affecting operations of respective businesses. They say amounts owed range between K100,000.00 to more than K1 million, depending on the type of services rendered to the provincial administration.
