Friends of POM GEN receive donations

The donation was in support of the Young Port Moresby Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kits4Kids Programme (YPOMCCI).

Kits4Kids is the Brainchild of the YPOMCCI and is intended to provide simple medical kits to support sick children and to also supply basic medical equipment required by the PMGH Children's Ward. It involves the participation of individuals and corporate members of the YPOMCCI through donations and voluntary community service.

Donations of medical equipment consisted of stethoscopes, otoscopes, thermometers and blood pressure machines.

He was one of 15 students shortlisted for the Remington Apprenticeship Programme out of the many who applied.

“When I found out I was selected I was shocked and happy,” Timothy recalls.

Timothy’s determination and character made him stand out during Remington Group’s selection process for the Apprenticeship programme. Peter Aisi, Remington Group’s Senior Human Resources Associate recalls his first encounter with Timothy:

DBTI students on OJT

The OJT commenced on Monday 23rd of August and is designed to equip students with the necessary skills, knowledge and attitude required in their field of study to apply in the working environment.

For nine weeks Lionel Hebei, Thomas Pokanau, Leonah Simbi Nawara and Juliet Dawa who are third-year Electronics and Communication Students and Ernest Ovia who is also a third-year Information Technology student, will carry out their In-Plant Training Programme (IPT) with Remington Group.

HP launches premier dealership in PNG

Remington Group CEO Peter Goodwin said is the first time HP has signed a premier dealership outside Australia, or in any other Pacific Island nation.

He said Remington is proud to celebrate its new Premier Business Solutions PNG dealership.

“It is significant, not only for us as a group, but for Papua New Guinea as the first and only HP Premier Dealership in the region as well.”
