Yore Awarded Women’s Leadership Scholarship

The CWLP scholarship offers women in sport in the Commonwealth access to cutting-edge opportunities that empowers women to become leaders within their sport and community on their development journeys to being role models and agents of change to guide the next generation of women in sport.

This program will support participants to not only clarify their leadership ambitions and recognise their leadership strengths but importantly broaden the understanding of their roles in supporting equality within the Commonwealth Sports Movement.

Kumul Petroleum supports Team PNG

KPHL came on board to support Team PNG prior to the Pacific Mini-Games in Vanuatu last year with K500,000.

An additional K500,000 was also committed to Team PNG to assist with getting the team to the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.

President of the PNGCGA, Sir John Dawanincura, was grateful to KPHL’s managing director, Wapu Sonk, and his board for recognising the importance of supporting PNG’s elite athletes to the XXI Commonwealth Games.

Team PNG salutes Justice Davani for contribution to sport

From the Team PNG president Sir John Dawanincura and officials the team extend their heartfelt condolences to her husband John, her sons Reginald, Peter, Cecil and Alexander, and her family and relatives at this most difficult of times. “We stand together with them in prayer”.

Team PNG salutes Justice Davani for being an outstanding Papua New Guinean both on and off the sports field.

 Her contributions to sport were as varied as they were immense, and spanned a period just shy of four decades.
