From humble beginnings, the company started out with just an outboard motor and a banana dinghy called Serema named after the owner and director Meremi Maina’s eldest daughter.
The company now employs 155 local staff and provides training to enhance their skills. As a direct result and endless commitment, Maru Marines now owns and operates under their umbrella, Maru Builders, Maru Trade Store, Maru Petrol Services, Maru Properties and Kuki Hotel and apartments.
