Pariwa urged to work with Lau

They made these calls following the arrival of Frank Lau yesterday in Madang after being successfully reinstated to his former position by the courts.

Arriving at the airport, Mr. Lau was welcomed by Senior Administration staff, the community, his supporters and staff.

Bell Leader wants Madang Town Market issue resolved

Bell community leader Hood Kassas said this when commenting on the current argument over the ownership of the market by MULLG and Madang District Development Authority.

Kassas, while commending local MP Nixon Duban for his brave speech on the occasion of the opening of the market  on July 1, challenging the government to recognise and involve Bell people in the market said people from Bell which comprised of the seven islands (Villages) of Madang are the landowners of Madang town and the Government has neglected them since the beginning.

On Behalf of the youths Nick Wanamda who is the leader thanked Madang Open MP Nixon Duban for accommodating them upon arrival at Sogeri plateau in his place and pay for return airline ticket back to Madang.

“We travelled to Lae, got on the boat to Popondetta and walked the Kokoda track on a mission to tell the nation that we have changed, and are  ready to accept development into our area,”
