Madang Public Servants dedicate duties to God

In a moving serving,  filled with hymns and affirmations, Madang’s public servants committed themselves to renewed dedication and service at the Gospel Light House Church in Madang. The service was attended by all sector heads, senior public servants, District Administrators and the Provincial Administrator.

Madang's Public Servants told resume work

Secretary for the Department of Personnel Management, Taies Sansan when addressing the public servants via mobile phone recently, said public servants who do not adhere to this advice would be subject to disciplinary action.

Secretary Sansan, whose phone call was projected through a speaker, stated that due process was followed in the appointment of Frank Tonges Lau as Provincial Administrator (PA). She said the National Executive Council (NEC) made the decision on May 3rd, 2022, and it must be respected.

Public Servants Query Appointment

The public servants have queried the appointment of the PA and that proper processes were followed.

According to a public servant, who did not want to be named said the signatures of a minute they had received earlier did not match, and this caused them to question the appointment.

They again fronted the provincial administration building today to get an update on their query.

Madang public servants warned

Yama said investigations into the public administration had commenced and those implicated will be held accountable for their wrong dealings.

He issued the warning after sidelining Provincial Administrator Daniel Aloi over allegations of misappropriation and misconduct of office.

He added that public servants have nothing to be afraid of and urged them to do their job diligently.
