The International Organization for Migration (IOM)

Aid partnership saving lives

This collaboration contributes to the provision of critical aid to communities devastated by election-related violence in Enga, the Southern Highlands, Hela, and Jiwaka.

These communities have been grappling with the aftermath of violence that has left many displaced, food gardens destroyed and shelters ruined. This situation has disproportionately affected vulnerable groups, including women, children, the elderly, and people with disabilities.

Training of Trainer for Disaster Risk Assessment

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in partnership with the NDC, and the technical support of the PNG Red Cross Society (PNGRCS) delivered the national Training of Trainer (ToT) on Community-Based Disaster Risk Management (CBDRM) and Build Back Safer (BBS) in Shelter Construction.

The training is funded by USAID's Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (USAID-BHA) and delivered in Port Moresby from 06-10 September 2021.
