Lae Nursing School Project

Morobe Governor, Ginson Saonu, had initially made a commitment in 2018 to build the Lae School of Nursing a graduation hall and a multipurpose facility.

Today, this commitment was formalised with a groundbreaking ceremony that was attended by the governor, Australian Consul-General, Mark Fox, and chief executive officer of the Morobe Provincial Health Authority, Dr Kipas Binga.

K4.9m Baruni Road Construction

He said the rehabilitation would include resealing of the road, proper drainage and the installment of streetlights for security reasons.

Global Construction will carry out the 2.7-kilometer upgrade and resealing project from the Kanudi roundabout to the Atlas Steel roundabout.

New USP Solomon Islands Campus to increase access to quality university education

He made the comment during the ground breaking ceremony in Honiara yesterday.

Sogavare said he was delighted with the supportive role of his government, including the past government and officials, and that have played in facilitating the process of the development of the new USP Solomon Islands Campus.

He said the regional university has grown considerably since its inauguration in 1998.
