After coming face-to-face with Pacquiao during his tour of Japan, Mayweather released a video on Instagram accompanied by the message: "I'm coming back to fight Manny Pacquiao this year, another nine-figure pay day on the way!"

The American, 41, can be heard shouting in the video: "I'm coming back in December!"

Mayweather is unbeaten in 50 career contests, having stopped UFC star Conor McGregor in a lucrative Las Vegas bout last August. 

Mayweather defeated Pacquiao by unanimous decision at the MGM Grand in May 2015 in a long-awaited bout between the pair.

Mayweather extended his boxing record to 50-0 by beating UFC star Conor McGregor last year, and has recently teased a rematch inside the Octagon.

The stateside TV logistics would have caused a problem, according to the UFC's White, but those fears have been allayed.

"Nothing is off the table. The objective is to do events that do good business and, more importantly, provide good entertainment to the fans," Showtime president of sports and event programming

Stephen Espinoza told Sky Sports, despite incurring criticism from White last weekend.

The now-retired undefeated boxer has just bought a luxurious NZD$35 million six-bedroom house in Los Angeles, which has a 50-person cinema, swimming pool, wine cellar and a four-car garage.

Mayweather reportedly won US$300 million when he beat Irish UFC star Conor McGregor in a boxing match last month, so definitely has the money to treat himself.

He posted a few pics on his Instagram account of his new pad and a video of him going through a large lolly collection before heading into his cinema to watch Sportscenter.

"He believes it's not going past four and I believe that it's not going to go the distance at all," said Mayweather at his media workout.

Few in boxing circles are giving the rugged Irishman much hope.

But Holmes, a former world heavyweight champion who keeps a keen eye on the game, feels McGregor has a real chance if he can fight intelligently.

"Don't sell McGregor short, he doesn't have to do too much to win," Holmes told the Bald Faced Truth radio show in the United States.

UFC champion McGregor will step out of the octagon and into the ring to fight unbeaten boxer Mayweather in Las Vegas on August 26.

Many have weighed in on who will win the hyped fight and now Tyson has voiced his opinion as Mayweather puts his perfect 49-0 record on the line against the unproven Irishman.

"McGregor is going to get killed boxing," Tyson told Barstool Sports on Monday. "Boxing? I got mad because I thought they were going to use MMA rules against boxing because that's what it's all about: Can the boxer beat the MMA guy?"

Australia's Horn, who this month beat Manny Pacquaio to win the WBO welterweight title in Brisbane, has called out the 40-year-old five-division world champion.

But Mayweather ruled out any prospect of a fight with the former Queensland schoolteacher in front of a packed press conference in London on Friday, saying he'll hang up his gloves after facing McGregor on August 26 in Las Vegas.

"This is my last fight," Mayweather said.

"I've just done years and years and years of just fighting and travelling.
