The famous Jack Pidik lights at Five-Mile lit up last night for another round of merry celebrations and entertainment.
More than a thousand people turned up for the countdown before the lights were switched on.
Just the launching of the lights had more than a thousand city residents gather at Five-Mile by 6.30pm.
The event started off with live bands and music as well as vendors who were selling Christmas merchandise.
The lighting up of Jack Pidik Park will have live bands, choirs, dramatised acts and many more.
