2016 AGM

POMRFL AGM deferred again

Administrator of the POMRFL, Meke Maino, explained that the first AGM set for January 21 at the National Football Stadium did not take place because no clubs had paid the affiliation fee of K1,000 for this season.

He said the AGM was then scheduled for today (January 28) but has now been moved to February 3 as there are still six clubs yet to pay the affiliation fee, plus other clubs haven’t submitted their financial and operations reports.

10 clubs yet to pay affiliation fee

Administrator of the Port Moresby Rugby Football League (POMRFL), Meke Maino, said only the Paga Panthers, Souths, Hohola Flies and Tarangau have paid the affiliation fee of K1,000.

“Because of this, we had to defer the 2016 AGM to this weekend because most clubs have yet to pay up.

“I urge all clubs to pay the affiliation fee plus submit their annual and activity reports before tomorrow afternoon,” said Maino.

The 2016 AGM for the PNGRFL will be held this Saturday at the National Football Stadium. It will start at 6.30pm.

POMRFL 2016 AGM deferred

POMRFL Administrator, Meke Maino, said the original date for the AGM was set for today but the board had made a decision during the week to defer it.

He advised that the AGM will start at 6.30pm and that key issues will be addressed, including preparation for the 2017 POMRFL season.

Maino urged all clubs to pay the affiliation fee of K1,000 and submit club reports before January 25.

“As of yesterday, only four clubs have paid their affiliation fees,” said Maino.
