14th PNG Musik Awards

Hip-hop culture on stage

They took the hip-hop rap culture onto the mainstream stage, set on impressing the wider audience.

This underground genre has come a long way – from the times of 3 Kiingz and Sprigga Mek some five to ten years ago, eventually being recognised with an established following.

New school hip-hop through these young voices hope to set that platform where younger hip-hop artists can easily step on.

Taking nothing for granted, Planet Native and Noxxy Dawg gave three different sounds of what this culture has to offer to the music scene.
