Public servants netball competition nears finals

Finals for the Public Servants Netball Association have been planned for next month at the Rita Flynn courts.

Vice President, Maria Laka said the 2016-17 season started last year in December with initially 40 teams taking part.

“Interest dropped a bit after the venues were closed early this year. We had many forfeits and some teams even pulled out from the competition.

“But we’ve picked up and are currently into the second week of the second round. We have two more weekends left before the semi-finals start,” said Laka.

Laka said the tentative date for the finals for all eight divisions will be on March 18.
