Video of shooting tampered with: Police

The video allegedly showing the Boroko Foodworld shooting, which was leaked on social media last week, was not authentic, police say.

The footage was not taken from the original close-circuit TV (CCTV) and is not the same as the original footage that police have in their possession.

Police believe it was tampered with before it was posted online.

The main suspect is still in police custody and police are liaising with Boroko Foodworld management and the Philippines Embassy as the investigation progresses.

Further updates will be given in a media brief tomorrow at the Boroko police station by the NCD Metropolitan Superintendent.
