Investigations into the New Year morning shooting incident at the Boroko Police Station are still ongoing.
Investigators are still waiting for PNGDF to come forward with the New Year’s duty roster operations list which consists of names of the officers who were on duty during New Year.
NCDC Metropolitan Superintendent Ben Turi says he had sent word to them reminding them of the list last Thursday but there hasn’t been any response since then.
“We cannot do our job if they do not cooperate with us by giving us the names of the soldiers involved in the New Year shootout.”
He adds that the investigators are ready to conduct questioning and make arrests of the soldiers involved but the lack of information is holding the investigations back.
“This also included details of the weaponries used and the vehicles that they had used during New Year incident at the station.”
