The Waigani Committal Court today issued a warrant of arrest for Enga man, Erik Pps, after he failed to turn up in court against this month.
His case went for mention on Oct 19, however he was not present. Police prosecution then indicated serving his files on his next mention date.
Today magistrate Cosmas Bidar issued the warrant after he failed to turn up again.
Investigations have been completed by the Crimes Investigation Detectives and his hand-up brief filed.
The 25 year-old from Tsak valley, was arrested on June 30.
Pps first appeared in court on July 6, where his charge was read and explained to him.
He was arrested at the 5 mile Ridge polling booth in the Moresby North–East electorate, and charged under section 100 of the Criminal Code, for voting more than he was entitled to.
