Rap-ture winner soon to record music

It doesn’t always have to be about the money, and the winner of Rap-ture 2016 rap battle has his story to tell.

On the night of November 3, Noxxy, entered the Cosmopolitan Club with one aim – to secure a record deal.

Early hours of November 4, he was announced the winner of Rap-ture 2016, claiming his winning package of K5,000, and his coveted record deal with a start-up capital.

At least a month after his win, Loop PNG has caught up with Noxxy to see how he has fared in his journey into the industry.

“I have a number of songs already written up and just there, but for now, I’d like to concentrate on completing my academic year,” he says.

Noxxy or Noel Kavora, as known by his birth name, is a second year Economics student at the University of PNG.

He has always taken the advice to put education first.

Music/rap was just a hobby but after the battle, I realised that it’s something that I can use and do something good.

“So I’ve been talking with my manager – Rifa Vela and I should start recording soon as the academic year comes to an end,” he says.

His price money has been directed towards his education and family.
