Gurias lead 16-2 at break

The Agmark Gurias have taken a 16-2 lead at half time over the Sabeto Roosters in the Melanesian Club Championship Challenge tonight at the Sir John Guise stadium.

The Roosters had the first opportunity to register points in the fourth minute of play but Kolinio Radrovi was unable to convert the penalty goal.

Minutes later it was the Gurias who made the most of an opportunity through Pidi Tongap who barged through the Roosters defence to score first points.

Jason Missian added the extras for the Gurias to take a 6-0 lead after 11 minutes of play.

The Gurias were nearly in again straight from the kick off through John Ragi Junior but the try was disallowed after a review foundĀ  that Ragi had dropped the ball before grounding it.

The Roosters registered their first points through a penalty from Roger Qoro in the 22nd minute.

But the Gurias continued to dominate possession and scored through Adrian Baungas and again through Konie Bernard in the 35th minute of play.

Missian put the score out to 16-2 before the half time whistle.
