Bomana CS clinic to host cervical cancer screening

A cervical cancer awareness which started over a week ago by The Well Women Centre at Bomana Correctional Service (CS) community clinic have started the screening test today.

Obstetrics and gynecologist Dr Lutty Amos says that Well Women Team will be at the Bomana CIS health clinic doing more cervical cancer awareness’s whilst screening women who had already registered for today August 15 to Wednesday  17.

“We will be here for the next two weeks in Bomana before moving back to the Moresby South Catchment area,” she says.

 More than 50 women over the past week have gleaned information disseminated by the advocates of Well Women Centre.

Dr Lutty says they are inviting all women, young girls and mothers who are residing in the Bomana area and nearly who have not registered to come along for the awareness program as it will be for their own good health and for the future.

“Getting checked up now and given early treatment is better than postponing for later,” Dr Lutty adds.
