Pick Tedesco for Origin, not me: Morris

Morris – one of the heroes of NSW's 2014 series win – would have been an absolute certainty for all three games this year if fit but has only just returned from a long-term knee injury and would have just two games under his belt in nine months if picked for Origin III.

Speaking after his hat-trick heroics in his return game against Brisbane on Saturday night, Morris shut down any talk of an Origin recall.

Tigers buoyed by new Mr Fix-It

Named at lock, Taylor shifted to hooker in the second half when Matt Ballin (concussion) was ruled out of the game and certainly made an impact.

Taylor set up two of the Tigers' three tries including Luke Brooks' match-winner in the 69th minute – earning the team's Players' Player as a result in just his second game with the club.

As veteran utility Dene Halatau reaches the twilight of his career – a player who the Tigers have depended on for the most part since 2003 – they will certainly find comfort in Taylor's arrival following his show-stealing performance.

Wests Tigers hope for good news on Farah

The incident occurred in the 23rd minute when Farah attempted to pressure a kick from Canterbury five-eighth Josh Reynolds.

Farah's head appeared to make contact with Reynolds's hip before the 32-year-old's head slammed into the ANZ Stadium turf.

Play was stopped for eight minutes with medical staff from both clubs monitoring his wellbeing before he was stretchered from the field to a rousing round of applause from the 20,936 fans in attendance.

Club officials said Farah was conscious and moving and it is believed he was sent to hospital shortly after half-time.
