Erema win Champions League in Lae

The match-winner came from midfielder Ilagi Geno in the 114th minute in front of a packed Sir Ignatius Kilage Stadium.

It was a fast flowing game and both sides had nearly equal opportunities to get on the board early in the encounter.

It seemed likely it would be a scoreless first half, but a handball in the penalty box presented Erema the opportunity to break the deadlock.

Rapatona works on attack as Dwellers game approaches

After losing their first two games in the NSL Champions League against unbeaten MRDC Hekari United FC, Rapatona are not giving up that easily as they focus on preparation in the past two days.

Rapatona coach Selan Elizah said he is working closely with his boys to beef up on their attacking skills.

Elizah said they will need to improve in this area in order to score goals.

“We also need to work on our defence and movements of our players on the field as we have missed too many opportunity goals in the past.
