Senior Pastor, Jonathan Pine said it was a special event to commemorate what the Lord Jesus did on the cross of Calvary, when he forgave the thief on the cross and promised him a place in paradise, and he repented right there and then.

“Today UNI-Social was without a doubt one of the biggest ones we had. In Gordons alone, we had over 1000 people who received help including many children, families, single mothers, and homeless people.

Victory Youth Group do public clean up

Their latest initiative was a major clean-up of the neighbourhood during the Christmas holidays.

Under the Cleaning Campaign, they were tasked to visit selected sites in Port Moresby and dedicate time to cleaning those areas.

Some of the youths who participated said that they look forward to attending church service every week because it keeps them occupied.

They are happy to give back to their communities and hope that their actions will influence others.

UC Arawa final 2023 Unisocial event

The Pastor and the Church members invited the Arawa Safe House and Arawa Police Station to collect boxes of garden food to help those in need during this holiday season.

Over 40kg of garden foods were donated by members of the church to these two public entities so that they would be able to feed more than 10 families and help people, who are in desperate situations due to unforeseen circumstances.

Church shares food for the body and spirit

The event, called UNISOCIAL, aimed to bring joy and support to those who find themselves alone during the festive season.

This marks the second consecutive year of the Universal Church's outreach in the region. The pastors and volunteers prepared 600 food baskets of sandwiches, cooked meals, juice, coffee, and hygiene products to distribute to individuals living on the streets of Port Moresby.

Pastor Marcelo highlighted the significance of reaching out to those feeling neglected and rejected, especially during the Christmas season.

Universal Church youth dance

Close to 300 youths turned up including both church members and non-church members, with support from the church members.

Senior Pastor of Universal Church in Port Moresby, Jonathan Pine explained that the Mega Dance is a special youth event that the church is having in many different countries including Papua New Guinea.

 In PNG, the event was held simultaneously in Port Moresby and Lae on Saturday, and Arawa on Sunday.

Bishop blesses PNG

Because he received an inspiration from God to let the church evangelize in Papua New Guinea five years ago and now he is seeing the fruit of it.

Bishop Randal Brito, originally from Brazil, now based in Manila, Philippines as the Bishop of Asia & Oceania, UCKG, arrived in Port Moresby on Saturday 17th June with his wife Claudia.

Universal Church in PNG holds a bi-monthly Uni-social event where homeless and needy people on the streets go in for a feed and to receive a food pack at the church.

This time, it was a collaborative event in 142 countries including PNG.

Universal Church meets community in Arawa

The Universal Church has been present in Papua New Guinea for over five years, and has expanded the work to various locations, which include Arawa in the Autonomous Region of Bougainville.

The very first service in Arawa was held in Tupakas primary school on the 1st of May 2022. Services were held four times a week, until October 2022, when the church moved to Arawa Christmas Park, Patjoen Building, and is now opened daily to cater for the spiritual needs of the community.

When normal isn't normal

The slogan says; “What do you do that is considered NORMAL but led you to trouble?” Over 400 youths gathered at the Universal Church to share about this.

 About 400 or more youths in Port Moresby including members from the 8-Mile and Koki Outreach churches, turned up at the main Universal Church for the youth outreach program.

Pastor Jonathan Pine told the youths that it is not normal to follow others and do destructive things to their lives. He encouraged them to make the right choices even when others may think it is not normal.
