UB40 invites young generation to concert

Ali Campbell, Astro and Mickey arrived on Wednesday and are excited to be performing at the Sir John Guise Stadium.

Ali said they’re expecting to see some youngsters and their families at the show.

He said the idea of doing the show at the stadium is the fact that families and teenagers can come and it’s not restricted.

“We are expecting them to know the words to our songs because today we have the young ones listening to their older brothers and sisters UB40 record collection.

This is the second time the band is visiting Port Moresby and will perform at the Gold Club, Lamana Hotel on Friday 22 January and at the Sir John Guise Stadium on Saturday 23rd Jan.

The group said they’re excited to be back in PNG and had a great time during their first visit.

Ali Campbell says they aim to perform for as many people as possible at the stadium compared to the first time where they performed at a much smaller venue.

“This time around we are happy to be playing at the stadium so at least those who missed out will be able to come.
