Tusbab Secondary School

Tusbab students showcase life skills

Tusbab Secondary School had a mini fashion show hosted by their 10C and 10D Economic students who learnt how to sew shirts the last two terms.

It was entertaining for the school as these sewers in the making, took to the stage to show what they had sewn. The vibrant colors, designs and styles of the fabrics in the end product were so diverse that they categorized showcasing into 5 divisions.

Students sent home for safety

The school's Deputy Principal Administration Michael Camillus Kavagu, said the schools administration is concerned with the safety of the student while commuting to and from school as counting is underway in the provincial capital, Madang.

Mr Kavagu said counting for Madang Open is in progress at the school’s Marape Hall.

He said teachers are prepared to teach but are concerned about unconfirmed threats being circulating on social media.

He said Grade 12 students were allowed to come to class because of the Written Expression exam on August 15, 2022.

Entrepreneurship Encouraged

With the theme of encouraging entrepreneurship through education, KF is presenting young people with realistic role models and working with ex-students of schools who are now entrepreneurs.

Tusbab will be visited by Madang local and online entrepreneur, Thelma Raulo, who runs her business “Thelma Marie E-commerce” while keeping her job as an accountant.

She began her e-commerce journey in 2015 deciding to generate an extra income as a form of financial security.
