PNG Touch Federation gears up for Pacific Games

The training started on Friday May 2nd with screening and testing with high performance and continued on Saturday with passing drills. Today, assessments will be made on game skills. 

Running together on training are men and women's teams. The train on squad had both new and incumbent players. Following the completion of these training sessions, final squad will be named to represent the country at the Pacific Games. 

Touch Football PNG gets new home

This follows the signing of a long term tenant lease at Sir John Guise Sporting Precint with the PNG Sports Foundation (PNGSF).

TFPNG President Dadi Toka Jr thanked the Minister for Sports Justin Tkatchenko and PNGSF chief executive officer Peter Tsiamalili for providing this opportunity for the first time in the history of the code.

TFPNG is negotiating with possible touch football associations in Port Moresby to hire the venue as well as plans to conduct TFPNG programs.

PNG found themselves behind with the Cooks scoring the first points.

PNG fought back to level up but the Cooks look the stronger side and are dominating possession.
