Volleyball association set to host finals

Despite talks about hosting the finals at the Taurama Indoor complex, due to the venue cost, the association has moved their finals back to the PNGEI courts.

Fairfax Volleyball Association president Kila Dick told Loop PNG: “We have now confirmed and decided to bring the games back to the PNGEI courts as it is too costly to host at the Taurama Indoor complex.”

The grand final is set for October 22.

Game draws are as follows;

Testing for Taurama Aquatic Centre set for Sunday

Sports involved in the testing event are swimming, volleyball, basketball, karate and taekwondo.

The public will also get a chance to get a sneak peek of the new infrastructure which opens from 9am to 4pm for the test event which will be free to the public.

A statement by the Games Organising Committee said the public will help test the ticketing and security systems, park and ride and spectator services.

GOC will exercise ticketing and security check systems at the gates to control the number of spectators entering.
