Frustrated man steals PMV

The incident reported on the 14th of this month, took place between 5:30pm and 6pm at the Gordons bus stop.

The complainant by the name of Pora Paraka of 8 Mile, reported that his Public Motor Vehicle, was driven away by a man believed to be from Tari/Wabag.

The bus driver was accused of having bumped into a sedan causing a dent which resulted in the occupants of the sedan attacking him.

One of the male suspects then removed the bus keys from the PMV driver and drove the bus away.

Chimbu man to stand trial

His son (19) and brother (29) will also stand trial after the Waigani District Court found sufficient evidence to commit their case for trial the National Court.

Magistrate Cosmas Bidar today made a ruling on their case after the lower court screened evidence produced by police.

They are expected to appear for listing on June 5.

Names in this article have been omitted due to the nature of allegations and the victim being a high school student.

Ani warned over repayment

Margaret Ani of Pari village appeared this morning before Deputy Chief Justice Sir Gibbs Salika where she was warned to repay an outstanding K50,600 before March 13.

"It's almost the end of the road for you. The court has been gracious to you and your partner. March 13 is the end of the road for you,"  Sir Gibbs warned her before adjourning her case to next week.

Ani told the court today that she is expecting some payment this week and asked the court for an extension to next Monday.
