ARL and 2017 RLWC Heads To Visit Port Moresby

This is for meetings with the PNG Rugby League Football League on Friday, and to watch the 12th annual NGCB Prime Minister’s XIII match between Australia and Papua New Guinea on Saturday.

PNGRFL chairman Sandis Tsaka said CEO Andrew Hill his support team will be in Port Moresby for the 3rd Port Moresby Host City Coordination meeting, to be held at the National Football Stadium.

“The meeting will be updated on anticipated travel schedule for visiting teams, accommodation and transport arrangements and security program of the RLWC2017,” Tsaka said.

Match specialises in media strategy and buying, digital planning and buying, search, social and analytics and is tasked with raising awareness of the RLWC2017 to deliver high levels of attendance at each game.

Full tournament draw for RLWC 2017 announced

Melbourne Rectangular Stadium will host a blockbuster opening match of the RLWC2017, when the home nation, the Kangaroos, begin their campaign under lights against England on Friday 27 October.

On Saturday 28 October, the Kiwis first pool match will be played at the home of Rugby League in New Zealand – Auckland’s Mt Smart Stadium – when they take on Pacific rivals Samoa.

Kumuls placed in Pool C of 2017 Rugby League World Cup draw

With venue yet to be announced, Moresby will hosts the Papua New Guinea Kumuls’ three pool matches in the RLWC2017 from 27 Oct to 2 Dec 2017.

The RLWC2017 will see 14 teams play 28 games over five weeks, all hoping to be crowned world champions.

With 11 teams already confirmed, the final three teams will come from the European Qualifying Tournament to be played in Oct and Nov this year. 

The teams who are still in the race include Wales, Ireland, Russia, Serbia, Italy and Spain.
