Umbrella companies anger over project

Vice chairman and director of Rempi,one of the five umbrella companies done in haste,Frank Don,said outside the National Court  building today that a separate summons would be given to the State。

Don said that the State needed time to make changes to their documents as their names had been included in the State’s original summons without their consent and therefore the need for further time。

A peaceful presentation of more than 5000 men, women and children against the project angered other supporters who claim to be landowners, instigating the fight.

Police who are aware of today’s event were on site and managed to get the situation under control.

Representatives of the Provincial Government at the scene are assuring those who have disrupted the peaceful petition presentation that they are aware and are willing to receive the petition today.
