PPP Pays Tribute to Sam Basil

The National President of PPP, Sumasy Singin noted the sudden tragic death of the late Mr Basil shocked the nation, leaving a huge hole to fill in Bulolo electorate, Morobe Province, ULP hierarchy and PNG national politics.
 
“The PPP Parliamentary Wing, its National Executive, friends and supporters send our most sincere condolences to the family, friends and associates of the late Deputy Prime Minister on his sudden passing following a tragic road accident along the Bulolo Highway, Morobe Province.
 

PPP Vows Contribution To Nation Building

People’s Progress Party (PPP) Interim President, Sumasy Singin said this when making a presentation on Tuesday, December 14 in the PNG Political Parties’ seminar at the Institute of National Affairs in Port Moresby.

He said that after 46 years of political independence, PNG needed to consider making legislative reforms where necessary to accommodate the people’s wishes and development aspirations.
Mr Singin told the seminar that PNG needs changes and there was an urgent need to develop on further from what have been built and achieved so far.

Chan sad to see MPs defect

He sad the action by both MPs were disheartening after treating them as family.

Both Milne Bay Governor Titus Philemon, and South Bougainville MP Timothy Masiu, defected to the Government ranks last week. Philemon joined the United Resources Party (URP) while Masiu joins National Alliance (NA).
