Webinar for Pacific Freelancers

This 90-minute session is a pivotal component of PTI Australia's latest initiative to bolster the Pacific’s digital presence amidst an increasingly digitised global service economy.

Taking place on Tuesday 15 August 2023, the webinar will be led by Asha Forsyth, an accomplished trainer and successful freelancer for global businesses and organisations.

She will be joined by Mere Nailatikau, a proud Fijian storyteller and independent consultant with over fifteen years of experience as a development professional in strategic communications and public diplomacy.

LinkedIn workshop for Pacific businesses opens

This is a pioneering initiative specifically tailored for Pacific businesses. The first-of-its-kind interactive online workshop seeks to harness the networking power of LinkedIn to support business growth in this digitally dynamic era.
 
Taking place on Tuesday 25 July 2023, the Masterclass will be delivered by Heather Porter, a digital marketing expert. 

Porter specialises in helping businesses magnify their online presence and reach with strategic LinkedIn strategies, a skill set that's never been more critical for today's businesses.

Social media for eBusiness program open for PNG

Business professionals from Fiji, French Polynesia, New Caledonia, and Vanuatu graduated from the four-month professional development scholarship program.

Applications for the final cohort for business professionals in Papua New Guinea, Samoa and Tonga opened yesterday Monday 4 July, 2022. Participation in the program is free, with each place valued at A$5,500 (appx. K12,000).

Pacific Professionals Conclude Program

The region’s trade and investment promotion agency graduated the group from the four-month professional development scholarship program.

Applications for the final cohort for business professionals in Papua New Guinea, Samoa and Tonga will open shortly on Monday, July 4th.

PTI launches 2021 Annual Report

The report highlights more than A$27 million in export deals and a record 17 investment deals facilitated in the region, despite the challenging environment.

In 2021, PTI Australia continued to build work with businesses in Papua New Guinea, promoting trade, tourism, and investment opportunities in the wake of COVID-19. Through its services, PTI Australia facilitated A$4,111,240 in exports and worked with 187 businesses.

Applications Reopen For Design Program

The highly selective scholarship program provides Pacific business professionals access to the Canva Pro platform for one year, as well as tailored training to enhance their familiarity with the platform and digital designing skills.

Now in its second year running, the PTI Australia X Canva collaboration is the first of its kind in the Pacific, connecting the simplicity of Canva's design platform to businesses across the Pacific region through PTI Australia’s network.

Transforming digital design in Pacific fisheries

The Digital Design Canva x PTI Australia Program is a collaboration between PTI Australia and global visual communications platform, Canva, providing Pacific participants access to the Canva Pro platform as well as tailored training to upskill their digital and visual content creation.

PTI Australia Trade and Investment Commissioner, Caleb Jarvis, said the recent inclusion of FFA Members in the program illustrated the strong relationship between Pacific agencies to share mutually beneficial resources, tools and insight.

PTI teams up with Canva

The PTI Australia X Canva collaboration is the first of its kind in the Pacific, connecting the simplicity of Canva's design platform to businesses across the Pacific region through PTI Australia’s network.

PTI Australia’s general manager of marketing, communications & tourism, Cath Cooksley-Little, said the collaboration matches capacity building with ongoing access to world class tools.

Applications open for e-Business scholarship

As the region navigates a new ‘COVID normal’ world, PTI Australia identified a digital capability gap within Pacific businesses and has designed a six-week practical professional development program.

The program builds on the successful one-day PTI Australia Social Media Masterclass. The six-week program will deepen the knowledge and extend the practical skills of participants, enabling them to effectively use social media to grow their business.
