OFC Women's Cup

Let’s Play For Honour: Kapi Natto

A proud man he is, the PNG Football President (PNGFA), Kapi Natto knows the national women’s soccer team will do well as they have reached the semi-final to play Samoa.

“I challenge our women’s team to believe in themselves as they represent the country and go all out with strong determination to win the semi-final and into the grand final.

Women’s Soccer Team Confident

The semi final will be the replay of the 2019 Pacific Games gold medal play-off, where PNG won.
There will be no love lost as the national women’s Coach, Nicola Demaine was the brain behind Samoa’s dream run for gold medal in 2019.

Coach Demaine said all teams have the purpose to attend this tournament to earn a qualification ticket to next stages and PNG is no different.

Her message to the team is to keep their heads, channel their nerves into excitement and play their own game.

PNG Vs Tonga In Quarter Final

Head Coach, Nicola Demaine said they are expecting Tonga to be well prepared and organized with quick transition to attack and defense and they are also physically strong.

“We are just taking one game at a time since the start of the tournament. We worked hard to pass the Group stages of the tournament with two wins and are now looking forward for the quarter final on the weekend.
