‘I got a contract’: Sacked Broncos star reveals shock league return

The former Panthers, Cowboys, Sharks and Broncos hooker took to social media to announce the news but provided few other details.

The 31-year-old has not appeared in a first grade match since September 2019, receiving a ban from the NRL’s Anti-Doping tribunal not long after his stint with the Broncos ended after a drink driving charge.

Segeyaro has been available to be picked up by NRL teams since June last year, with his 20 month sentence backdated.

“Got a call from my manager saying I got a contract,” Segeyaro said in a video posted to Instagram.

All Blacks keen to lure league star to Super teams

Tuivasa-Sheck will leave the Warriors at the end of the NRL season to take up a contract with New Zealand Rugby in the hopes of playing for the All Blacks at the 2023 World Cup.

The Blues are favoured to secure his services, given he lives in Auckland with his young family and was a former under-20 representative for the team.

All Black wing Caleb Clarke, who starred for the Blues before bursting onto the international stage in 2020, would love to have him at the Auckland based franchise.
