Local newspaper to promote good governance in province

The launching was witnessed by executive officers from various companies, school children and the general public at the Independence oval in the heart of Popondetta town.

Northern Observer is a community newspaper to inform and promote good governance in the province, an initiative of the Oro Provincial Government.

The monthly publication is aimed at informing the people on what is happening within the province and around the country and allows locals to have their say and contribute towards the development of Oro.

Juffa urges unity to develop Oro

Speaking at the launch of the local newspaper ‘Northern Observer’ today, Juffa said the province is not developing because people are not working together.

He said the leaders, especially the members of Parliament, need to unite and bring Oro to the next level.

Juffa also urged the people to take ownership of the development of the province and not play the blame game.
