Ambulance Education Donation

St John Ambulance PNG is actively embracing technology for educational purposes, aligning with the core values of both LiteHaus International and Niunet.

The computers will be utilized at the St John Ambulance Training Academy to facilitate interactive learning modules, host educational and clinical resources, and elevate the overall quality of training.

Niunet's CEO, David Valentine, expressed their pleasure in assisting St John Ambulance with this donation.

FSVU receives 50 desktops

The donation from Niunet Computers comes timely as the FSVU will need these computers among other office facilities to:

  • Lodge complaints of family & sexual violence
  • Ensure all cases of FSV are reported on a timely basis
  • To serve domestic incident notice on the alleged offender

The computers are donated for free and intended for FSVU officers to use technology as a platform to mitigate the merging challenges of crime through the internet.

Buk bilong Pikinini receives donations from LiteHaus International

Councilor Peter Raim, who is also the LiteHaus Country Director, and Chris Black, the Lead Content Curation and Engineer of Niunet Team, handed over the donation to BbP's PRM Manager, Nelly Wak-Namean.

During the visit, the team also stopped by the BbP Koki Library Learning Centre, where Niunet CEO and Chief Technical Officer, David Valentine, read the BbP-published reader "When I Grow Up I Want to Be an ICT Officer."

The reader featured Valentine as a role model.

Building Partnerships To Inspire

Buk bilong Pikinini’s Early Childhood Education program helps to provide children with the foundations in numeracy, problem solving and various play-based STEM activities throughout the year, however, more should be done in fostering careers in Information and Communications Technology or ICT.

BbP believes that with the launch of their new publication entitled ‘When I grow up – I want to be an ICT officer’ it will help children understand and choose jobs and skills needed in the field.

Start-Up Challenge Launched

The program aims to encourage the growth of professional and scalable business mindset and is being supported by the PNG-AUSTRALIA partnership, Steamships Group of Companies and Emstret Holdings Ltd.

CEO of Emstret Holdings Ltd, Vani Nades said the main aim is to bring the entrepreneurs to the hub and help them through their business, identify their challenges and help them reach the next level.

New local tech firm proves to be resourceful

Niunet is a local high-speed company that gives users access to free internet for learning materials as it operates without the need of cellular network data or phone credit.

“That’s right, no need for mobile data or phone credit! When you are within Niunet wifi range, you can download megabytes or even gigabytes of information, all for free. All you need is a wifi-enabled device to connect to Niunet like a laptop, a tablet or your smartphone,” the firm said on its website.
