Boost for Blue Heelers rugby union team

The retail and community-oriented organization is thrilled to announce its support for the YoungGunz team, through the sponsorship of three new sets of jersey for the Under 20’s, senior men’s and women’s division. 

The Youngunz are a 7s team under the NGCB Blue Heelers Rugby Union Club. The aim of this team is to provide an avenue for young individuals to engage in sports and develop essential life skills. 

Lae police get new uniforms

Morobe Provincial Administrator, Max Bruten, stressed on the need to create a conducive environment for business to thrive, which would lead to economic growth and poverty reduction. 

“I advised the honourable governor and my team that, in order for us to have a conducive environment, or create an enabling environment for investors to come in, we must get law and order right,” he stated.

“To get law and order right is to ensure we support policing in the province.”

New gear for Bereina rugby clubs

Central Provincial Administrator Francis Koaba presented the uniforms, which were long overdue. The uniforms were committed during the 2021 Robert Agarobe Boxing Tournament. The uniforms were purchased from Tura, a sports uniform company in Fiji, costing almost K18, 000 for a set.

The teams were presented 20 sets of uniforms including rugby shorts, and socks.

New Look For CBC Staff

On Monday 7th March, 2022, the special ceremony was held at the CBC Centre Waigani. Present to witness the occasion were members of the Central Committee, President of CBCPNGSI and Archbishop of Madang, Anton Bal; Archbishop Douglas Young SVD of Madang; Bishop of Mendi, Donald Lippert OFM Cap; Bishop Otto Separy of Bereina; and Fr Giorgio Licini PIME, General Secretary of CBC.
