Deputy Prime Minister Leo Dion, representing the National Government and the National Executive Council, thanked the government and people of Japan for such a magnificent facility.
He acknowledged the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the building contractor, Dai Nippon of Japan, for the infrastructure.
The deputy PM said the new market facility is a key infrastructure which would greatly assist fresh produce vendors, who are mostly subsistence farmers and mothers, to sell their produce to sustain their economic livelihood.
