Little Mix director defends 'raunchy' video

Some fans said it had gone too far in comments below the recording but the director, Director X, has told Newsbeat the criticism wasn't his issue and wasn't Little Mix's either.

The were also rumours that Little Mix's Jesy Nelson was edited to look thinner.

"I was happy to see the fans say that Jesy is just terrific the way she is and get upset about it," he said.

Not long after the video was released, Little Mix published a "making of" video which appeared to prove the rumours not to be true.

Snoop Dogg 'shoots' Trump clown 'Ron Klump' in new video

The video for "Lavender" (Nightfall Remix) ft. Kaytranada & Snoop Dogg dropped this weekend and features the rapper and a cast of clowns, including one played by actor Michael Rapaport.

Tati defends new music video

That’s how Tati Mangi PNG is taking in the reaction of the public towards his new music video Bootylicious.

He was bold to start off in the beginning and has been holding his front, not backing down from the negativity it has attracted.

Speaking to Loop PNG, Tati said critics will always have something to say.

“If it causes one to lose their job or stirs up a warfare, that’s when it’s a problem. People have their own perception of the song so get what you want from there,” said the local artist.

Music video “Bootylicious” attracting attention on Social Media

Tati Mangi PNG’s “Bootylicious” music video has attracted a lot of attention since being uploaded on Youtube last week.

The video has been shared on Facebook numerous times and has been the focus of backlash from many.

But the negative reaction is not about the music though. Comments have been directed at the young women featured in the video, who are seen dancing in swimwear in some parts of the film.

Comments were based around having no dignity and self-respect and willing to be objectified.

However, it’s not all negative.

"I want people to think when they watch my videos and music. I'm excited. I think it's going to be one of my strongest videos."

He continued: "The song kind of cuts a new path for me, musically. It touches some of the soul elements, but also has that funk side. I think the video means that as well, really fresh."
